Facts and Controversy of Technology and the Society

Technology evolved in the society. Everything technology necessary for its growth and progress it got in the society. Many will argue that it gave back everything to the society too, and rightly so. Technology is based greatly on the society, and the society falls back to technology for its development and improvement. The relationship appears cordial, but is one party unfairly exploiting the other in any way?

Technology is in today’s society. The society is into technology. The society contributes to the human and material resources required for the technology to blossom. There’s no denying the obvious truth that technology has really, blossomed. The purpose of discourse is what technology has obtained, and is still taking away from the society in its own course for expansion.

Firstly, it ought to be observed that the social use of technology played a huge role in denting the image of technology. Some of the damaging impact of technology, which vary from contamination into the obvious depletion of the world’s nonrenewable natural resources, were unintentional. They came to the fore after declared use of technological procedures. They were unforeseen and therefore are completely regretted simply because they take up to they provide from the society. Withdrawing these procedures from the society is now near-impossible due to the entire dependence of the society on technology.

The significant reason for technology has been the simplification of human life. It had in mind the maximization of resources to ensure total control of the immediate environment and the event inside. As a result of technology, information is now omnipresent, communication has improved beyond understanding and the total quality of social life has grown immeasurably. Sports have been commercialized and institutions have been able to expand their tentacles across continents.

Various forms of danger also have resulted from technology. From the top-drawer, an individual could cite global warming and pollution as important problems. Then there’s the small matter of all of the negatives that emanate from the internet. Every new technology also seems to come with its own issues of waste that the society finds it tough to manage. The damaging effects of all types of waste are also well recorded.

Technology appears to be incapable of solving all the problems it’s created. This is seen in many quarters as a failure of this idea. Many don’t understand it is the social use of technology which gives rise to such dangers. This makes it unpleasant to the society to blame technology for its own shortcomings. In the face of all of the prevailing arguments, an individual could just ask if both theories are in fact separable.
